It’s not Japan. The Ghost video is compromised of footage shot in 3 different cities. Tokyo, LA, and NYC. It’s Badlands. It’s a fictional city. It’s meant to be a hybrid of a few major metropolis regions. It’s imaginary. I’m in no position to fetishize a culture. Just used different regions to show Badlands the same way they shot the Hobbit in New Zealand. Hybrid world. I don’t romanticize drugs I am writing about my life. And more often than not sharing my experiences with how they’ve ruined the people I’ve loved.
